My name is Toulla Stylianou and I am a Travel Counsellor. I have been working in Travel for the last 2 years and I love what I do!
I am constantly researching new ideas and innovations and love helping clients find the perfect holiday whatever the occasion. I enjoy putting itineraries together and talking to clients, so I can get a feel for what they are looking for. Every day is a challenge!
What are the benefits of using a travel consultant rather than booking a holiday yourself
The benefits of using myself, is that one to one personal service you cannot get over the internet. Also the fact that I can be contacted at any time, gives the client peace of mind. When booking your holiday with me, I am there with you every step of the way and throughout your holiday. Giving an excellent service is key to me and making the client feel special. Also we are 100% financially protected and I believe we differentiate by offering a more bespoke package, as we have 400 people in Head office and 2000 Travel Counsellors to set us apart!
Are there any new trends that have emerged over the past few years, when booking a holiday?
I have noticed that stag and hen parties are becoming very popular and also people are now going away more often for special birthdays i.e. 40th, 50th etc. Also sustainable travel is becoming very popular, because people want to lower their carbon footprint as people are realising that taking a boat and train trip to Europe is more exciting and adventurous than the aeroplane!
What do you think will be the most popular destination for 2020?
South Africa, Caribbean (which I recently went to, with the Tourist Board), and Asia. Long haul destinations are defiantly becoming popular for 2020! People are realising that it is more value for money!
